I know I was shocked, too. Seeing stunning sneakers like this shared on Instagram, I immediately clicked on them, wondering where I could buy them, only to find out that they had been created in House of Heat‘s Concept Lab and were created in 2019 by Pete Michael. Let’s look at the House of Heat Ralph Lauren x Air Jordan 4 “Polo Pack.”

In his article debuting the pack, Michael shared some touching stories about why he decided to make these custom designs; he shared a touching story about always having dreamt about making them in the House of Heat Concept Lab after having fallen in love with the brand while managing a Ralph Lauren flagship store.
For those few who might not know who Ralph Lauren is, I guarantee that you have seen the logo for his luxurious and well-made fashion line throughout your life and recognise the POLO label and the iconic logo of a sportsman on a horse, playing polo. Ralph Lauren and the Polo brand make luxurious sportswear.
While the worlds of Polo and Nike are far from the same, being basketball and sports like golf, you can’t deny that Pete Michael had a stroke of genius combining these two luxurious sports brands. Of course, it can’t be missed that the brilliant mind behind the Polo brand, Ralph Lauren himself, is known to enjoy wearing Jordans here and there, making the collaboration idea a perfect one.

The Nike Air Jordan 4 “Polo Pack” is a beautiful potential collaboration with five different colourways that takes all of the elements of the Air Jordan 4 and combines them with some of the most loved elements of the Polo Brand, combining the two to make a stunning collection of sneakers.
The collection maintains white throughout each pair on the same elements, like the outsole with the visible air unit in the heel, white mesh throughout and white laces, while constructing the upper from luxurious jersey knit you would find from a Polo shirt rather than the usual leather or nubuck upper of most Air Jordan sneakers.
Swapping out the supporting lacewings for metallic hardware that complements the colourway is also a brilliant choice throughout the collection. However, the part that really brings the collaboration to life is the tongue labels, which are POLO on the right with the horse rider logo and the Jumpman with Flight scrawled in cursive on the left.
