Bronson shared that the inspiration behind the shoe stems from the world of “women’s aerobics” while also highlighting the trend of male sneaker enthusiasts opting for larger sizes in women’s colourways to diversify their style options.
New Balance 1906R “Medusa Azul”
When it comes to the “Medusa Azul” colourway, this one is undoubtedly more understated compared to its counterparts. But understated doesn’t mean lacking in character.
The upper showcases various shades of blue, accentuated with touches of brown and black. The sole unit maintains this aesthetic, with a gleaming blue midsole complemented by a brown and grey outsole.
The beloved rapper-chef has shared that this design draws inspiration from the Portuguese man of war – a beautiful but dangerous blue jellyfish from the Pacific Ocean. This is beautifully reflected in the sneaker’s name, which translates to “blue jellyfish”.
New Balance 1906R “Scorpius”
Finally, the “Scorpius” pair features a vibrant yellow mesh base complemented by lime green, muted olive, orange, and blue accents. Its black midsole pairs perfectly with a multicoloured translucent blue, grey, and black outsole.
Fair warning: this pair might be challenging to get your hands on. Bronson has revealed that the “Scorpius” edition will be ultra-limited, possibly sold exclusively on his own Baklava Flea Market site.
