The Chinese New Year is finally upon us. And although a huge chunk of the official sneaker releases this year may have disappointed (womp womp), custom sneaker artists John Trottier (@johnnyskicks) and Yuang Louis (@louis_yuang) have come through with an impressive Air Force 1 “Year of the Snake” design to celebrate the occasion.

A Closer Look At The Design
The dynamic duo has packed a clean white Air Force 1 full of intricate details, including tonal snakeskin leather at the toe and a grey snake crest graphic on the toebox. Our fave element, however, is the snake cutouts underlayed with snakeskin leather, which you’ll find slithering around the hindfoot panels. It’s a distinctive detail that immediately catches attention.
Other design touches include deep crimson highlights on the laces, profile Swooshes, and heel tabs to commemorate the Lunar New Year, as well as a thorn-like motif on the quarter panels to add extra intrigue.
To complete the look, the shoe boasts an off-white midsole and outsole that allows the texture and accents on the upper to truly shine.
