Air Jordan 1 High “Gold Snake” Slithers Onto Our Wishlist

With 2025 being the "Year of the Snake," we'll see a lot of releases with snake themes, but we want this Air Jordan 1 High "Gold Snake" most.

Since next year is the “Year of the Snake,” you can anticipate seeing a lot of sneaker releases with designs influenced by the slithering serpent—a few of which have already started to appear online. Some official releases, like the Nike Kobe “Year of the Mamba,” are gorgeous tributes to the theme, while others, like the Air Jordan 11 Low CNY “Year of the Snake,” feel a bit underwhelming. And yet, we can also anticipate that next year will be the year for custom shoe designers to shine, particularly those who already have a penchant for using snakeskin leather in their creations. We simply need to look at pairs like the Air Jordan 1 High “Gold Snake” by @surcheri_official to see just how stunning and unique these custom designs can be.

A Closer Look At The Design

The Air Jordan 1 High “Gold Snake” strikes a perfect balance between the dramatic and the simple, with a stunning brown snakeskin pattern on the overlays set against a backdrop of white tumbled leather. To add to the grandeur of the design, patent leather gold Swooshes are placed on the shoe’s sides, with matching leather on the ankle flap. The final touches are kept simple with a pair of clean white laces and a matching white midsole and outsole.

Even though many snakeskin-covered pairs can come across as overly flashy, Surcheri keeps the overall look clean and polished. It has exactly the right amount of detail to make a statement without being overbearing and, of course, still manages to keep the high-end look many custom sneaker wearers crave.

Is The Air Jordan 1 High “Gold Snake” Available For Purchase?

While this stunning gold snakeskin design is from 2022, the custom sneaker brand still makes stunning and distinctive shoes adorned with exotic leather, so it shouldn’t be difficult to have them create something special just for you. Just use Instagram to message them directly to ask about commissions and pricing.

Until then, you can check out several snake-themed and snake-skin-covered customs on our website, including the Air Jordan 1 Low “Mojave,” NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Love You Forever” and the Air Jordan 1 “Terrarium.” And remember to follow us here at Sneaker Fortress for more custom and concept kicks.
