Spider-Man is one of the only Marvel characters with any representation in the sneaker world, mainly because of Sony’s involvement. One place where you can find a plethora of gorgeous sneakers inspired by your favourite heroes is the arena of custom Jordan sneakers. We decided to throw our hat into the ring with this eye-catching Air Jordan 1 “Hulk” custom concept sneaker.

Jordan 1 Hulk Custom Sneakers

Like all good Hulk-inspired things, these sneakers have a lovely green, dark purple and white colourway. The trifecta of colours interchanges throughout the sneakers to make a stunning combination.

Starting from the bottom, the sneakers’ outsole is the first to take on the classic Hulk green, complemented by the white outsole above it. This isn’t the only place where green and white experience this intricate dance of who is the most prominent at the time, as it continues throughout the upper.

The white toe box kicks things off on the sneakers’ upper before green quickly takes over for all the leather overlays. White is apparently still warring for control as it takes up the decorative threading throughout, on the green overlays, and even the purple sections.

Speaking of purple sections, you didn’t think these Jordan 1 Hulk sneakers would leave out the classic colour of Bruce Banner’s iconic pants, which are usually the only thing that survives his transformation, did you? Purple appears on the quarter of the sneakers, as well as the laces and the inner lining.

There is a subtle interplay with textures throughout the sneakers, including leather for most of the upper, a softer canvas for the tongue, and a texture around the ankle area reminiscent of something like suede or faux fur. There is also canvas-like mesh on the inner lining of the sneakers, making them breathable and comfortable.

We also decided to make a custom hang tag for this pair of Hulk sneakers, going with the classic look of a green background with the brick-like typography for the “HULK” displayed on the side. If you are an avid fan of the Hulk comics, you might recognise the font from The Incredible Hulk comics. We just had to throw a little element of the classic comic books into the sneakers.

Not Many Hulk Sneakers

Hulk is one of those Marvel characters, like Spider-Man and Iron Man, that has been turned into a caricature for children’s costumes so often that it is difficult to separate them from their merchandise these days.

That said, our design did a pretty good job of taking the Hulk’s signature characteristics and transferring them to a Jordan 1 sneaker that is perfect for adult fans of the Marvel Universe.

Disclaimer: This Is A Concept

As mentioned several times throughout this article, these sneakers are not authentic. They are a custom concept we came up with here at Sneaker Fortress. Unfortunately, our designs have to stay just that for now, but the hope is that we will one day be able to turn our sneakers into a reality.

Would you wear these custom Nike Air Jordan 1 “Hulk” sneakers?
