Travis Scott’s Next Air Jordan 1 Low Might Finally Be a ‘Chicago’

Leaked images tease a cherry-red take on the iconic colorway — a heritage look Travis Scott has avoided for his entire Jordan 1 Low run.

One thing we can give Travis Scott props for is that he’s built his entire Air Jordan 1 Low partnership around steering clear of the obvious. For the most part, his collection gives us muted pastels and earthy tones alongside that iconic reverse Swoosh.

It feels as though he’s intentionally avoided releasing anything even remotely inspired by Jordan Brand’s heritage colorways. But that streak may be ending soon…

New Leaked Images: What the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 ‘Chicago’ Looks Like

New leaked images show an upcoming Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG with a palette that can only be described as ‘Chicago-esque’.

What we know so far:

  • White dominates the base, with a darker cherry-like red filling in the overlays around the toe, eyestay, and heel
  • Scott’s signature reverse Swoosh remains black on the lateral side
  • Added laces in ‘sail white’ and a light pink break up the red, white, and black setup
  • According to leak sources (SimaoAdib, MrUnloved1s, and bawesedubbkiccz), the pair we’ve seen in pictures is expected to be the actual retail version.

When Will the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 ‘Chicago’ Release?

Although we don’t have an official release date as of yet, SneakerNews expects it will be sometime in 2027. Given how rarely Scott touches anything resembling a ‘Chicago’, the mere rumor of this release is enough to get people talking.

For context on what to budget for: Travis Scott’s recent Air Jordan 1 Low collaborations — including the 2024 ‘Medium Olive’ and ‘Velvet Brown’ releases — have retailed at $150, so a similar price point is likely once Jordan Brand confirms this pair. Fans hoping to cop at retail should keep an eye on the Nike SNKRS app once a date is locked in, since Travis Scott releases typically sell out fast.

And what are people saying exactly? Based on @insanesneaker’s recent Instagram post, we gather the response is largely positive.

@supreme___lin: “Sold out as they dropp”

@austink633634: “Those are tuff”

@drea_jdi: “I’m tryin to save”

Yeah, we hear you buddy. For now, treat the ‘Chicago-esque’ Travis Scott AJ1L as one to watch, rather than a release to start planning for. We’ll be back with all the final details as soon as Jordan Brand makes it official.
