With this year’s Summer Olympics highlighting Paris, the sneaker scene has been awash with designs celebrating the host city. Whether it’s been lavish Nike SB Dunk Lows inspired by the city’s historic theatres or Air Jordan 4s dressed up in all-grey, echoing its iconic cobblestone streets, the designs have been nothing short of spectacular. Yet, this custom Air Jordan 1 High x Off-White 1760 by Maison Gabrielli stands out by capturing classic Parisian elegance through the use of traditional Toile de Jouy French fabric, a material known for its intricate pastoral scenes and historical significance in French design.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

If you’re anything like me, the thought of the Toile de Jouy fabric probably brings to mind the Nike SB Dunk Low Premium “City of Style” that dropped earlier this year.

But while the SB Dunk was draped entirely in this timeless French fabric (despite some of it eventually wearing away to reveal a red layer beneath), the Air Jordan 1 High x Off-White 1760 opts for a more understated look.

The design showcases subtle touches of Toile du Jouy on the heel and overlays, creating an understated elegance for which the French are known.

This elegant patterned design contrasts beautifully with the shoe’s white tumbled leather base and black accents, creating a striking and sophisticated look.

Add in those signature Off-White elements like the deconstructed Swooshes, red tabs, and quotation mark text on the sole, and you have a tribute to Paris that’s as stylish as it is special.

Where to Get the Air Jordan 1 High x Off White 1760

Thankfully, you can personalise this exact design through Maison Gabrielli’s bespoke sneaker service. Alternatively, they can also create something similar tailored to your preferences.

Their personalised sneakers start at €900 (which translates to approximately $982.66 USD). This price includes choosing from three types of leather (excluding lining leather). However, the cost may vary depending on the additional materials or fabrics you select for your unique pair.

So, if you’re interested, visit their website to create your design or contact them for more information.

In the meantime, why not explore more sneaker designs that embody Parisian charm? From the vibrant Air Jordan 1 Mid “Casa 93” to the stylish Air Jordan 6 “Pearls” and the sleek Air Jordan 39 “Lumiere”, there are plenty of upcoming designs that celebrate the city of love and lights. And while you’re at it, make sure to follow us here at Sneaker Fortress for more customs and concepts, like the stunning Air Jordan 1 High x Off-White 1760.
