Air Jordan 1 Low Jelly Sneakers Are Perfect For Rainy Winter Days

Air Jordan 1 Low "Jelly" Sneakers Are Perfect For Rainy Winter Days

For those who adored jelly shoes in the 90s, it’s time to get excited again. I present the resurgence of the jelly trend, this time in the form of jelly sneakers. Introducing the Air Jordan 1 Low “Jelly” sneakers.

Contrary to what we might have assumed, jelly shoes didn’t stay stuck in the 90s and early 2000s. Instead, this concept has made a surprising comeback, morphing into a more refined and contemporary form. Think of these as your old jelly shoes matured and with a broader choice of designs, especially in its sneaker-like form. Actually, this see-through shoe trend has even boldly marked its spot in high-end fashion lines like Dior, Gucci, Maison Margiela, and Loewe. Evidently, adidas has not remained on the sidelines of this translucent trend, launching their distinctive take on jelly-inspired footwear as well.

From the adidas Originals Superstar range with its jelly flair to their upcoming “Bubble” trainers, featuring a transparent TPU overlay for a futuristic twist, adidas has certainly championed the transformation of jelly footwear. But, despite the impressive offerings from these top-notch brands, wouldn’t we all appreciate a taste of a Jordan 1 Jelly sneaker?

The first design in the series features a see-through upper accentuated by vivid yellow highlights. These can be spotted on the transparent eyestays, piping, inner lining, laces, and sole. Even the emblematic Jumpman logo adopts this eye-catching colour to round off the design.

The second iteration presents a subtly unique aesthetic. This time, the iconic Nike Swoosh is adorned with a translucent yellow hue instead of the eye stays. The design favours a crisp white midsole punctuated by yellow stitch details resting above a yellow rubber outsole. Minus the subtle colour play, both designs perfectly embody the unique appeal of a jelly sneaker.

Here at Sneaker Fortress, we’re certain we’re not alone in wishing these stunning pairs of Jelly Jordan sneakers were real. Actually, we’d be over the moon if Nike and Jordan were to kick-start a jelly shoe range. But allow us to share why these jelly-inspired sneakers would be a game-changer in the Jordan lineup.

Think about this for a moment – transparent versions of these sneakers could be the ideal protection for your favourite leather Jordans. You can imagine them as beautiful raincoats for your favourite pair of sneakers. They’d shield them from weather elements, and yet, the chic design of your Jordans would still be on full display. Obviously, you’d want them to be both water-resistant and sturdy to maintain your sneakers in impeccable condition. With this in mind, it would be beneficial to have the toe perforations sealed tight, stopping any moisture from getting inside.

And for those sartorially adventurous types who adore a bit of whimsy, these jelly-inspired Jordan 1 sneakers promise a stunning detour from the customary leather or suede you often see in Jordan kicks. The crystal-clear attribute of these jelly iterations could offer an interesting visual impact, allowing you to flaunt your sock choices or even play with vibrant sock pairings while preserving that iconic Jordan shape we all know and love.

Will we actually see the debut of Jordan 1 Jelly sneakers in the near future? Only time will tell, but it would undoubtedly be an exciting addition to the Jordan brand’s lineup, offering sneaker enthusiasts even more options to express their personal style.
