Puma has ensured that in 2025, no Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan will want for a pair of sneakers modelled after the iconic turtle quartet or their malicious villains. But even with the wide range of gorgeous options (and even the opportunity to snag a free pair), there’s always an insatiable desire to see the heroes in a half-shell make their mark on the Air Jordan 1. While an official collaboration appears unlikely for now, sneaker artist Javier Carabias Sánchez (@javier_carabias) has created these custom Air Jordan 1 “Ninja Turtles” kicks that fans can fantasise about.

A Closer Look At The Design

Despite being a throwback to a design Sánchez created back in 2020, these shoes still rank among the most fun and distinctive Ninja Turtle-inspired pairs we’ve ever seen.

The shoe offers a green suede base, while the collar, eyestays, and toe are all made of matching green leather. A brown shell pattern on the heel and a nod to the turtle’s underside at the toe flap then add a needed touch of contrast. But the pair’s most adventurous design feature is undoubtedly the insertion of each Ninja Turtle’s eye mask on the medial and lateral ankle flaps and their clenched teeth below.

Donatello and Michelangelo are depicted on one shoe, while Leonardo and Raphael are on the other. The shoes also feature corresponding colour accents and detailing on the Swooshes and tongues to complement their different sides. A classic white midsole and translucent purple outsole complete the pair and bring the entire motif together.

We’ll likely never tire of seeing the turtle brothers take over sneaker designs. Regardless of how many pairs you see, every new design is so unique, and these kicks by Sánchez are another fun twist on the beloved theme, sure to bring a smile to your face.
