Update August 12, 2025: First-look images of the “El Vuelo” Jordan 3 OG SP MEX have finally surfaced. The sneaker has a jagged leather overlay at the sides crafted from white snakeskin. The detail is said to be inspired by the masks of lucha libre wrestlers. Also included is embroidered text behind the tongue that reads “Más vale maña que fuerza”, or in English, “Skill is better than strength” a.k.a “Brains over brawn” You can view images of this beautiful sneaker below, while we wait for its darker counterpart to be revealed.

Original Article: The Air Jordan 3 will be the centre of the Jumpman Label’s upcoming “MEX” pack releasing in 2025. But if the name doesn’t already give away its purpose, know that the pack intends to honour Mexican culture and its most significant celebrations.

What To Expect From The Air Jordan 3 “MEX” Pack

According to Sneaker Market RO, sneakerheads can expect another Air Jordan 3 colourway inspired by the Mexican Day of Independence to drop this year. But unlike the black AJ3 colourway that surfaced late in 2024, this pair maintains a more conventional colour scheme, combining Sail, Pine Green, Dragon Red, Metallic Gold, and Summit White to produce a lively and festive appearance.

Though no initial images of the pair have been released at this time, we anticipate a design with intricate details akin to the AJ 5 pair from 2024. Last year’s design included embossed details on the tongue, heel, and toe, as well as laser-cut leather in place of netting. Not forgetting one very special detail, the “VIVA” lace dubraes paying homage to Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla’s speech from the early hours of September 16, 1810.

As for the pack’s darker-coloured design, it has an entirely unexpected “Black” and “Metallic Silver” colour scheme that might allude to a Dia de Los Muertos theme rather than the Mexican Independence Day-themed design that is currently anticipated. But we won’t be able to determine the true inspiration behind these kicks until more details surface in the coming months.

For now, Sneaker Market Romania has provided some speculative mockups of both colourways, which can be seen below, but remember that they may not accurately represent the final product.

Release Details

These two “El Grito-inspired” sneaker designs are set to be released on September 30 through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan stores. Each pair is priced at $200 USD in men’s sizes, but full family sizing is expected to be available.

There are also plenty of other Air Jordan 3 releases to look forward to in 2025, including the Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts,” Air Jordan 3 “Rare Air,” and Air Jordan 3 “Pure Money.” While we wait for these highly anticipated releases, stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress for more sneaker news and reviews.
