Few colour pairings exude luxury quite like black and gold. Whether it’s high-end fashion or sleek automobiles, this combination consistently radiates sophistication and style. Showcasing the effectiveness of this timeless palette in the sneaker world is the “Black & Gold” Air Jordan 1 Luxe custom by Roger Hung.

More About The Designer

Roger Hung is a distinguished custom sneaker designer based in Australia, renowned for his premium interpretations of classic silhouettes. His meticulous attention to detail and choice of high-quality materials ensure that each pair he creates is a true piece of luxurious sneaker art.

You can see this calibre of craftsmanship across all his custom designs. Whether reimagining Wu-Tang Dunks on Jordan silhouettes or crafting refined brogue-inspired designs, Hung delivers with precision and flair. And this dedication is abundantly clear in his latest “Black & Gold” Air Jordan 1 Luxe custom.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

While the sneaker’s rich black and gold colour scheme certainly bestows a sense of luxury, the material selection is equally crucial in enhancing its overall aesthetic.

Hung has employed premium black leather for the Air Jordan 1’s upper, featuring smooth leather on areas such as the toe, eyestays, collar, and heel, while Python leather highlights the toe box, quarter panels, and ankle flap.

Gold accents further elevate the design, touching up the branding, eyelets, and overlay edging. But the deconstructed side Swooshes, bathed in gold, are perhaps the most distinctive feature of the shoe, sweeping boldly across the side of the AJ1.

If you ever doubted the regal combination of black and gold in crafting luxurious footwear, Hung’s design will surely convince you otherwise.

Is The “Black & Gold” Air Jordan 1 Luxe Available For Purchase?

Though this “Black & Gold” Air Jordan 1 Luxe pair was a one-of-one creation for comedian Michael Yo Simmons, you can commission your own pair from Hung for a truly unique and luxurious addition to your sneaker collection.

To get your custom pair, contact Shoe Cutterz at contact@shoecutterz.com or by filling out their custom order form online. Keep in mind that these bespoke sneakers come with a premium price tag, reflecting the high-quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship.

In the meantime, explore more sneakers with this luxurious colour scheme, including official releases from Nike and Jordan Brand, like the Air Max SNDR in “Black/Metallic Gold” and the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Metallic Gold”, or custom designs like the Air Jordan 1 “John Player Special”.
