2025 is a year full of celebration for the Jordan Brand. This year marks not only the 40th anniversary of the iconic Air Jordan line but also 35 years since the launch of the Air Jordan 5 back in 1990. Of course, this milestone warrants a number of special releases to mark the occasion, and fans should expect nothing less from the Jumpman label this year. From the return of popular retro colourways like the Air Jordan 5 OG “Fire Red” (Black Tongue) to brand-new collaborations and in-line releases, there is plenty to look forward to from the Tinker-Hatfield-designed model. And to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the pairs dropping, we’ve compiled a list of the Air Jordan 5 releases for 2025.
Air Jordan 5 “Golden Ticket”

The Jordan 5’s festivities for 2025 began with a women’s exclusive style featuring rich “Earth” brown and glossy “Metallic Gold” highlights on a “Muslin” leather upper. Even though this Jordan 5 design was released for $200 USD on January 22 2025, you can still find pairs on resale sites like StockX or GOAT—and for less at that.
Air Jordan 5 “Year of the Snake”

One of this year’s releases to commemorate the Chinese Lunar New Year was a tonal cream AJ5. Though the design is unobtrusive enough to be a versatile option for everyday wear, the textured tongues and the rainbow Sharktooth pattern on the midsole do offer subtle yet unmistakable references to the slithering serpent. The pair retailed for $200 USD when it was introduced on January 23, 2025, but sneakerheads can now purchase a pair on resale sites for less.
Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic” (Reimagined)

In February 2025, the iconic AJ5 “Black Metallic” was released as a reimagined iteration with a reflective 3M finish on the edges of the nubuck uppers and white laces as a reference to how Michael Jordan wore the shoe during a 1990 playoff game. The sneaker is currently accessible on resale markets; however, it sells for a little more than the original $200 USD retail price. More information about the Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic Reimagined”.
Air Jordan 5 “Grape”

2025 will be the year when sneakerheads finally see the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” released in a true-to-original throwback style. You can anticipate the same white leather uppers, purple and teal embellishments, and Nike Air” branding at the heel as the original 1990 release. The sneakers, which will retail for $210 USD, are anticipated to be released on April 19. More information on the Jordan 5 ‘Grape’.
Air Jordan 5 “Luminous Green”

The year 2025 is shaping up to be one to remember for the ladies. A striking Sail, Anthracite, and Luminous Green-coloured AJ5 will join this year’s extensive collection of women’s exclusive Jordan designs. While much about the colour blocking is still unknown, it is expected to sell for $200 USD on July 5, 2025.
Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 “Arctic Pink”

Awake NY is one of the partners who have been enlisted to help commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5’s release. The trendy streetwear brand has created an Arctic Pink, Metallic Silver, University Red, Black, White, and Clear version of MJ’s fifth signature shoe with special details like a bold “A” logo at the sides and embroidered Awake branding on the tongue. This pair is set to release on August 29, 2025, at a retail price of $210 USD. More information on the Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 “Arctic Pink”.
Air Jordan 5 OG “Fire Red” (Black Tongue)

The black-tongue version of Jordan Brand’s iconic Fire Red AJ5 colourway will be making a welcomed return in full-family sizing come September 13, 2025. The sneaker will closely resemble the original 1990 release, with black satin tongues, white leather uppers and black and red finishing touches. Most importantly, though, the sneaker will have the original “Nike Air” logo on the heel and the familiar font for the “23” at the ankle. More information on the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red Black Tongue”.
A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Violet Ore”

Jordan fans have come to anticipate the brand’s annual designs with luxury streetwear boutique A Ma Maniére. This year, the duo will be working together on a few different styles, including a White, Black, Violet Ore, and Burgundy Crush AJ5. Expect the same quilted interiors, premium materials and semi-translucent netting and outsoles that have been present in A Ma Maniére’s other AJ5 drops. More information on the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 ‘Violet Ore’.
Air Jordan 5 “Metallic Gold”

Another women’s exclusive AJ5 colourway will be up for grabs this year. The design features Metallic Gold, Brilliant Orange, Sail, and Muslin hues. There are currently no images or release information available for this pair, but it should be available for $200 USD sometime in summer 2025. Find out more about the Air Jordan 5 “Metallic Gold”.
Air Jordan 5 “Pale Ivory”

Young sneakerheads have not been excluded from the Jumpman Label’s 35th-anniversary celebrations for the AJ 5. Joining the roster of 2025 releases is the Air Jordan 5 “Pale Ivory”, featuring a playful blend of Pale Ivory, Fusion Red, Desert, Rush Fuchsia, and White hues. Sneaker insiders have the release pegged for a summer drop, but specific images and release details have not yet been revealed. More information on the Air Jordan 5 “Pale Ivory”.
Air Jordan 5 “35th Anniversary”

Jordan Brand has also prepared a special in-line release to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the AJ5 model. The colour blocking will be based on the original “Fire Red” design but with pastel pink highlights instead of red. Sneakerheads should anticipate Nike Air branding on the heel and a run of full-family sizes.
Air Jordan 5 “Wings”

Jordan Brand will introduce a new AJ5 design to its ‘Wings’ series this year. The ‘Wings’ series is known for its unique designs and premium materials, and this time, the sneaker will showcase a blend of Medium Grey, Black, and Metallic Silver colours. The design details are currently unknown, but sneakerheads should look forward to a luxurious look when these kicks are released in Fall 2025. More information on the Air Jordan 5 “Wings”.
Air Jordan 5 “Yellow/Multi-Colour”

Even though images of the “Yellow/Multi-Colour” AJ5 have not yet been revealed, many sneakerheads believe that this release could be a nod to the highly sought-after “Tokyo 23” Air Jordan 5, which was first launched in 2011 to commemorate the debut of Jordan Tokyo 23 in Japan. Although the specifics of this colourway are currently unknown, additional details should become available as its Fall 2025 release date draws near.
PSG x Air Jordan 5 “Off-Noir”

Late this year, Paris Saint-Germain and Jordan Brand plan to introduce two new PSG x Air Jordan sneakers to the sneaker scene, including an Air Jordan 5 design. The pair will have unique branding elements and premium materials in the colours Off Noir, Particle Rose, Anthracite, Pearl Pink, and Sail. Find more exclusive Air Jordans at Sneaker Fortress.
