The Air Jordan 5 ‘Wings’ Take Flight In 2025

Jordan Brand is releasing a special AJ 5 design to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Jordan Wings program.

As Jordan Brand celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Jordan 5 silhouette this year, fans can expect what feels like an endless supply of exciting releases throughout 2025. Yet, one of the highlights from this year’s AJ 5 roster is a “Wings” design commemorating another special milestone: ten years of the Jordan Wings programme providing funding and assistance to disadvantaged kids seeking to fulfil their educational aspirations.

A Closer Look At The Sneakers

Like the future of all the youth empowered by the Wings programme, the Air Jordan 5 “Wings” design is looking bright. The uppers are covered in a shiny “Metallic Silver” satin, which perfectly matches the model’s signature reflective tongues.

Adding to the look are black embroidered accents that read “In This Family” and “No One Flies Alone” written across the toe of both shoes, as well as a number 10 on the heel to honour the programme’s tenth anniversary. The sneaker also has a tassel hang tag for added flair and a translucent outsole with a handprint logo peeking from underneath.

This colour scheme is unquestionably beautiful, but we can’t help but think that it may look even better if the text were placed on the inside of the tongue rather than the toe—just saying.
