2025 may not be the Year of the Rabbit, but sneakerheads are still being treated to one of the most classic colourways in the Air Jordan Brand lineup inspired by the world’s most well-known fictional bunny. Yes, the Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny” is making a comeback in 2025, and we’ve got the details on when this highly awaited edition will arrive. But first, a brief stroll down memory lane.

More About The Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny”

Despite a lack of imagery and direct references to Bugs Bunny, the AJ8 colourway has strong ties to the well-known Looney Tunes character. This is largely owed to the ‘Hare Jordan’ campaign of the 1990s. The iconic campaign saw the rabbit collaborate with Michael Jordan himself to produce several memorable ads promoting the shoe, cementing its place in sneaker history.

The sneakers, first introduced in 1993, have since become a mainstay of the Air Jordan collection, with retro versions released in 2003, 2008, and 2013 to the delight of many fans. So, it’s been a long time since sneakerheads have had a chance to grab a pair of these iconic “Hare Jordan” sneakers without resorting to paying resale prices.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

The colourway features a predominantly white leather upper with black accents on the tongue, inner lining, and the model’s characteristic midfoot strap. Red and grey patterning on the heel and midsole add a pop of colour, while red, blue and grey accents on the chenille tongue patches complete the look.

Release Details

This famous AJ8 colourway will be available in full family sizing come November 15, 2025. A pair in adult sizes will be available for $210 USD through Nike.com and select Jordan stores.

Until then, keep a watch out for more retro hits from Jordan Brand’s 2025 lineup, including the  Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic Reimagined,” Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred,” and the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe Reimagined.” And remember to follow us here at Sneaker Fortress for more updates on upcoming releases and exclusive sneaker news.
