Bruce Lees Off White Satin Air Jordan 1 Lux Sneaker is Here

John Trottier of @johnnyskicks has become the person to turn to for creative custom sneaker designs. Whether he’s offering fans a fresh take on a coveted collaboration or cooking up something completely new, the Dallas-based designer never fails to leave us sneakerheads in awe. For his latest custom creation, Trottier borrowed from the signature details of Off-White’s Air Jordan 1 collaborations. But, of course, he has made sure to add his own flavour. The twist, you may ask? His Air Jordan 1 custom features a bold mix of colours and patterns inspired by legendary Chinese martial artist and actor Bruce Lee.

For many out there, the legendary Bruce Lee needs no introduction. However, for the sake of this article, we will give him one anyway. With that said, how do you perfectly sum up someone so iconic in a few words? A man who could perform gravity-defying kicks, move with lightning speed, and deliver punches powerful enough to knock out opponents twice his size. To this day, there is no one quite like him, and Lee’s impact on martial arts and martial arts movies is still unmatched. This likely boils down purely to the passion he poured into all that he did.

His passion for his craft and creative approach to martial arts changed the industry for the good, and in turn inspired people all around the world, including legends like Kobe Bryant and Quentin Tarantino. Even fifty years after his untimely death, Bruce Lee’s legacy lives on and is celebrated in many different ways, just like with this one-of-a-kind sneaker design.

The Bruce Lee Off White Satin AJ1 Lux shoe is dressed in satin, befitting an Asian emperor, but sticks close to the palette of Lee’s iconic jumpsuit from the film “Game of Death”— a movie piece we can safely say is synonymous with the martial artist.

The base of the shoe black satin with contrasting yellow overlays that nod to said suit, while the crimson swoosh done in Off-White’s signature style nods to his famous fight scene vs. Han. The satin fabric is also covered in wispy Oriental patterns that lean into Lee’s Asian heritage

Tying the design together is a set of black and yellow laces, plus a white and red sole unit combo below. Needless to say, these sneakers beautifully represent Bruce Lee’s iconic style in sneaker form, providing sneakerheads everywhere with a fitting means to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this legend’s passing.
