The classic “Bugs Bunny” Air Jordan 8—or “Hare Jordans,” as they are more affectionately referred to—is hopping back into stores in November 2025. Yet despite the shoe’s strong association with the Looney Tunes character, thanks to a number of commercials from the ’90s, the actual design looks nothing like the mischievous rabbit. However, sneaker artist Javornie Brathwaite has fixed this minor oversight with his take on a “Bugs Bunny” Jordan 8.
A Closer Look At The Design
Unlike the original 1993 release, this Bugs Bunny design has grey suede uppers with corresponding TPU details to mimic the fur of the popular character. Most important, though, are the orange and green accents on the printed mudguard and chenille tongue patches, which honour Bugs Bunny’s signature carrot.
The look is significantly different from the original Jordan Hare. It resembles a cross between the “Cool Grey” AJ8 and the “Gatorade” Jordan 6. We definitely wouldn’t be opposed to the Jordan Brand adding this colourway to their colourway lineup in honour of Michael Jordan’s furry Space Jam co-star. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait for the next “Year of the Rabbit” for that to happen.
