2024 was a big year for Marvel fans. Not only did we get to see Anthony Mackie pick up the mantle of Captain America in Brave New World, but we were also treated to one of the most epic team-ups on the big screen thanks to Deadpool 3. Thankfully, this also meant plenty of sneakers to celebrate the latter film. That said, we still wouldn’t mind an official Deadpool and Wolverine Nike Dunk Low pack…even a full year later.
Of course, that doesn’t mean there haven’t been any Wolverine or Deadpool releases from Nike in the past. Back in 2009, the Swoosh label released a Big High Qk “Wolverine” sneaker as part of their Wolverine vs. Sabretooth pack. There was also a Nike Dunk High ‘Deadpool’ released in Grade School sizing in 2023 (It’s pretty cool too). Of course, we could definitely use some fresh designs in adult sizes… and @dope_don_designs has the perfect concepts.
Dariyn Enriquez’s Deadpool x Nike Dunk Low features a sleek red, black, and brown colour scheme.
You also have the iconic Deadpool logo tastefully displayed on both the lateral and medial sides of the sneaker, as well as a red paint-splattered midsole and brown straps around the front of the shoe to represent the anti-hero’s utility belt and shoulder straps.
The Wolverine x Nike Dunk Low , on the other hand, sticks to the hero’s classic yellow and blue costume. It even features the X-men logo on the heel tab as well as scratches from his retractable claws on the shoe’s tongue.
Like the Deadpool concept, this sneaker also features red paint splatter on the midsole. It would have been cool if the concept had incorporated some metallic details as a nod to Wolverine’s adamantium claws, but it still represents Logan’s iconic look pretty well.
