When the 10th anniversary of the “Fear Pack” rolled around last year, sneakerheads were excited to see the Air Jordan 3 among the re-issues. Still, we would be lying if we told you a small part of us wasn’t sad to see that the Air Jordan 4 wasn’t among the re-issued sneakers. Luckily, Nike knows what we want to see and will be dropping a re-issue of the Air Jordan 4 “Fear” later this year.
Air Jordan 4 “Fear”
There are many reasons to love and be excited about these sneakers. With a stunning colourway that combines shades like Black, White, Cool Grey and Premium Platinum, these stunning sneakers combine greys that work beautifully together as they get darker the higher up on the sneakers you get.

Starting with the softest cool grey on the outsole, each “step” up the overlays makes a darker shade throughout the sneakers. The only time this trend is broken throughout the sneakers is the dark midsole speckled throughout with white spots, making it one of the busiest spots on an otherwise plain and sophisticated pair of sneakers.
The only place where the sneakers break the subtle trend of light to dark is when they transition straight back to stark white on the tops of the support wings, perfectly matching both the tongue label and the inner lining of the sneakers that are cresting over the collar of the sneakers.
If you didn’t already know the name of these sneakers, you would probably assume that they had something to do with the night sky rather than with an emotion like fear. Still, my only fear is that I might miss the release date and the opportunity to get my hands on these sneakers.
What We Like About Them
There is always something special when Nike plays with their monochromatic colourways, and the Air Jordan 4 “Fear” is no exception. Dressing in many darkening shades of grey, complemented by the speckled rubber of the midsole, will never be a bad idea.

One particular element that really piqued our interest was the coloured Air unit hidden within the heel of the sneakers. While Jordan Brand is known for pushing everything it can beyond the limit, seeing a touch of colour from within is rare. The transparent window into the unit is still in effect, but adding a pop of colour from within an otherwise grey-scape of colour is smart.
Release Date and Price
Despite the sneakers’ early announcement, we have a set release date for when we can expect to see this beautiful pair. As the name suggests, we will see this pair in the Fall season, and it just so happens to be a few short days after Halloween. Missed opportunity? Maybe.
@zsneakerheadz has reported that the sneakers will be seen on November 9th, 2024 and are expected to retail for around $215. Of course, these details can sometimes change closer to the time, so we’ll see what happens in Fall.
