This Air Jordan 4 x Coca-Cola Concept Is So Good, It Should Be Real

A bold fusion of sneaker culture and iconic branding, this Air Jordan 4 x Coca-Cola concept by Brandon Krige fizzes with creativity.

Name better pop culture icons than Jordan Brand and Coca-Cola. I’ll wait. But while we wait, here at Sneaker Fortress, we decided to take matters into our own hands. Our brilliant artist, Brandon Krige, was able to churn out these beautiful Air Jordan 4 x Coca-Cola custom sneakers.

A Closer Look at the Air Jordan 4 Coca-Cola Colourway

Starting from the bottom, we see the beautiful interplay between the colours of the colourway, switching effortlessly between red and black to white and then back to black again. The outsole deftly switches between the two shades, swapping between red and black and then transitioning to a stunning semi-translucent TPU that has bubbles or shimmers suspended in it, perfectly resembling the carbonation of Coca-Cola.

This stunning semi-translucent TPU appears once more above the white midsole that houses the clear Air unit and on the upper as the support wings. The semi-translucent nature of these parts, with the white sole unit or the black patent leather of the upper shining through it, is stunning and effective in bringing the idea of carbonation to life. The white background allows the red to take centre stage right at the back of the sneakers. In contrast, the black background makes the red turn to that stunning amber colour that we know and love of Coca-Cola, especially on the support wings.

As mentioned, the upper is primarily represented by shiny patent leather. The shininess of the leather is evocative of the plastic bottle or glass that you might find your drink of choice housed in. The patent leather, unlike many sneakers, which simply have overlays throughout the upper, the entirety of the upper is represented in this way in this pair.

The upper hardware, such as the netting, the laces, the tongue label, and the heel tab, all appear black and are made of materials like TPU and plastic or simply rope for the laces.

Of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the classic Coca-Cola branding on the side of the Air Jordan sneakers in the iconic script typography, as well as the typical Coca-Cola red. This, without a doubt, ties the sneakers together, but you would be able to tell what inspired them even without the clear pointer.

Is the Air Jordan 4 Coca-Cola Sneaker Releasing Anytime Soon?

The result of all these ideas being represented and brought to life in sneaker form is gorgeous. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, this is just a concept sneaker and isn’t a physical pair you can get your hands on, at least not anytime soon.

Coca-Cola is a brand that has had a strong standing in pop culture for what seems like centuries and has remained an old favourite through it all. Amazing custom artists like @_dsignr_ have made beautiful pairs in the past, like these Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Jack Daniel’s & Coke” for you to enjoy.

Nike might be unable to help you with a pair of official Coca-Cola-branded Air Jordan 4 sneakers. Still, other sneaker brands like Puma with their Slipstream x Coca-Cola sneakers can. And, not that it’s my favourite, but there are also three official colourways for Coca-Cola x Crocs clogs… So they’re out there.
