The Jordan Spizike Low “Obama” Is the Presidential Sneaker We Needed

Jordan Brand will reintroduce the Jordan Spizike “Bordeaux” in 2025. However, this iconic Jordan Spizike colourway, famously gifted by Spike Lee to former President Obama during a visit to Harlem in 2012, is coming back in low-top style.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

The low-top version of the “Bordeaux” Spizike design is very similar to the original, with white tumbled leather uppers, grey elephant print at the toe and heel, and bright flashes of colour throughout.

The colours comprise emerald green on the insoles, yellow on the Jumpman branding and lace locks, red on the laces and heel tab, and vivid blue on the top eyelets, inner lining, and midsole. The colours also blend at the bottom of the outsole, creating a striking look.

Yet, the design has one minor change, aside from the lower cut. The light grey mudguards that were a feature of the 2012 mid-design— the pair actually gifted to Obama—have been replaced with a deeper shade of charcoal grey.

Of course, Spike Lee’s distinctive face branding and the 40 Acres and a Mule logo are present on the heels, done in yellow to complete the colourful look.

Jordan Spizike Low “Obama” Release Details

This Jordan Spizike Low colourway is anticipated to be released in Fall 2025. Sneakerheads will be able to pick up a pair for $160 USD at Nike.com and select retailers.

However, there are a bunch of other colourways and collaborations to anticipate in the interim, such as the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Self Expression”, the Air Jordan 13 Low “Dongdan”, and the Air Jordan 5 Low “Peanut Butter & Jelly”. Make sure to stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress to stay up to date on these drops and much more.
