Jordan Brand will reintroduce the Jordan Spizike “Bordeaux” in 2025. However, this iconic Jordan Spizike colourway, famously gifted by Spike Lee to former President Obama during a visit to Harlem in 2012, is coming back in low-top style.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The low-top version of the “Bordeaux” Spizike design is very similar to the original, with white tumbled leather uppers, grey elephant print at the toe and heel, and bright flashes of colour throughout.
The colours comprise emerald green on the insoles, yellow on the Jumpman branding and lace locks, red on the laces and heel tab, and vivid blue on the top eyelets, inner lining, and midsole. The colours also blend at the bottom of the outsole, creating a striking look.
Yet, the design has one minor change, aside from the lower cut. The light grey mudguards that were a feature of the 2012 mid-design— the pair actually gifted to Obama—have been replaced with a deeper shade of charcoal grey.
Of course, Spike Lee’s distinctive face branding and the 40 Acres and a Mule logo are present on the heels, done in yellow to complete the colourful look.
