The vibrant Air Jordan 3 “BraveStarr” brings the spirit of the unique ’80s Sci-fi/Western TV series back to life.

The nostalgic eighties blessed us with an awe-inspiringly strange but instantly engaging animation series that unfortunately faded out all too quickly. This quintessentially 80s show took us on intergalactic adventures with a Native American space cowboy at the helm, alongside his robotic horse, Thirty-Thirty and a creature we can only describe as a rodent-like alien whose name happened to be Fuzz.

Yes, we’re reminiscing about the short-lived but oh, so memorable BraveStarr.  Despite its relatively short two-year run, the show has deservedly bagged cult status for its distinctive blend of science fiction with an Old Western setting. And so, it made all the sense in the world for us at Sneaker Fortress to give a nod to this offbeat childhood classic with our Air Jordan 3 “BraveStarr” customised design concept.

The “BraveStarr” Air Jordan 3 takes its stylistic cues from the charismatic and powerful character, Marshal BraveStarr himself. As many may recall, BraveStarr was a powerhouse character equipped with incredible spiritual animal abilities, such as the eyes of the hawk, the strength of the bear, the speed of the puma, and the ears of the wolf, which he used to protect the planet of New Texas from various threats.

While these heroic powers fascinated everyone, they haven’t been manifested into our sneaker design- although that may be an excellent idea for a future pair. Instead, we chose to represent the character’s unmistakable attire and accessories, like BraveStarr’s trademark breastplate and belt, while designing these sneakers— offering a fashionable tribute to this adored character.

Reflecting the character’s vibrant look, the “BraveStarr” Air Jordan 3 is a mosaic of orange, yellow, blue, and brown. The upper is predominantly covered with mustard yellow tumbled leather, which is complemented by patches of radiant orange on the elephant print details, eyelets, and inner lining. For fans of the show, these colours will be a direct recall of BraveStarr’s legendary suit.

Further contributing to the theme, the sneaker’s suede toe and heel underlays, along with eye stays, symbolise his iconic brown leather belt, while the perforated tongue and collar reflect his blue breastplate. This beautiful combination of warm colours takes you straight back to the ’80s, flawlessly encapsulating the charm of the dashing space cowboy.

Lastly, these vibrant sneakers rest on a sail midsole and a translucent outsole, enhancing their classic and slick appearance while paying a subtle homage to his hat. A BraveStarr hangtag that includes all your favourite characters from the television series in their battle-ready postures then perfectly rounds off the theme of these beautiful kicks.

We bet you’re just as thrilled as we are at the thought of slipping into these nostalgic kicks that transport us back to the era of the legendary television series. However, as we mentioned before, these kicks are purely conceptual, not an actual customised pair or officially launched footwear offering.

Nevertheless, the allure of stepping back into BraveStarr’s world with these visually appealing shoe designs is undeniable. So, you can certainly use the design as inspiration for your next custom sneaker.

And if you’d like to stay in the loop with more custom-designed kicks and creative concept designs centred around cherished characters, be sure to follow us at Sneaker Fortress.
