Even though most official Star Wars sneaker releases to date have been adidas collaborations, Javornie Brathwaite of @jsbthecreator is slowly but surely giving us sneak peeks at what a collaboration between Jordan Brand and the renowned space saga might look like. And the Force is unquestionably strong with his ‘Luke Skywalker’ Jordan 4 custom sneaker.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
As many Star Wars fans will have noticed, the design is based on Luke’s outfit from A New Hope, which consists of a light-coloured robe-like overshirt, some beat-up beige trousers and a sandy-coloured pair of boots. That is why this Jordan 4 is covered in sail canvas fabric with a beige canvas on the toe and darker brown highlights on the eyelets and heel tabs.
Subsequently, the heel air unit, midsole, back of the tongue, and branding all feature blue accents that contrast beautifully with the neutral background and are the ideal homage to the blue-bladed lightsabre Luke inherited from Anakin Skywalker. However, it’s the Jedi Order logo on the left heel and the “Star Wars” text on the right that gives the sneaker a distinctive look.
Finally, the pair finishes off with a sail midsole and beige rubber outsole for the perfect homage to the iconic Jedi.
