Nike’s renowned Air Force 1 model has already been the focus of interest across numerous custom creations in 2025. But for obvious reasons, the Nike Brown Bear Air Force 1 design has our eyes glued to the screen right now.

A Closer Look At The Designs
Truth be told, the sneaker’s fuzzy light brown construction makes it look more like a teddy bear than any brown bear we’re used to. In fact, we would more easily connect these to Harry’s Van from Dumb and Dumber than to a wild bear. However, with one quick Google search, I learnt that brown bears can have a colour ranging from light brown to nearly black; go figure!
Putting zoology aside, the light brown faux fur that covers the entire inner lining and sole of the AF1 is a bold and unique choice. It adds an unusual and playful aesthetic to the design. The only parts of the sneaker that remain untouched by faux fur are the laces and the Nike swoosh, which provide a nice white contrast.
Although it’s a daring choice for a pair of AF1s, I can definitely picture these bringing a fun touch to any sneakerhead’s collection. Currently, the pair is being showcased on @mastrosneakers’ Instagram page. However, the design’s fluffy faux fur uppers scream Adewale Quadri (@darkphilknight) to us.

Quadri’s Distinct Sneaker Designs
Similar to the paintings of Picasso or Vincent van Gogh, some shoe designers have a distinctive aesthetic that you can recognise right away. No name or logo necessary; their designs speak for themselves and stand out in the competitive sneaker industry. That’s precisely the case with Quadri’s distinct custom designs.
The artist is renowned for his unconventional material selections, such as covering well-known sneaker designs with fuzzy felt or totally transforming them with a crocheted upper. So we wouldn’t be too shocked to learn that these distinctive kicks are on of his own. Of course, we could be mistaken, as there is no evidence of this pair on Quadri’s own social media. That said, be sure to check these out for yourself and let us know what you think.
In the meantime, don’t forget to follow us at Sneaker Fortress for more custom and concept sneakers, and explore more amazing AF1 designs on our website, such as these “Fuel Force” and “Super Bowl Game Ball“ customs.
