Nike has been making its way through the animal kingdom with multiple animal-inspired colourways of its Field General 82 silhouette offered throughout 2025. The brand has already added “Leopard Print” Swooshes, “Dalmation” Spots, and a faux “Cowhide” to the classic model this year, plus there’s even a snakeskin-patterned edition expected to debut around the holiday season. Also on the cards for 2025 is a Nike Field General 82 covered in “Zebra” stripes.
As the name indicates, the design takes the gridiron-inspired sneaker and adds a full upper of zebra-printed pony hair leather. Yes, it’s as luxe as it sounds.
Also included for balance and contrast are smooth black leather Swooshes, tongues, and heels, as well as matching laces and sole units to pull things together.

While the Nike Field General 82 may have had humble beginnings on the football field back in the ’80s, the silhouette has become a go-to lifestyle sneaker. It’s been especially popular among fashion-forward folk looking for something other than the adidas Samba (yes, we love the silhouette, but everybody, and their mom, is wearing them). So it’s been refreshing to see get-ready-with-me videos featuring something else for a change.
Keeping that in mind, it’s easy to understand why Nike has experimented with bold animal prints. It’s been a major trend of 2025! Not only have zoo, barnyard, and safari animals taken over the runways, but there is also a surge in demand for animal-inspired footwear.

Still, the heel-to-toe zebra stripes are definitely one of the Swoosh Label’s most daring ventures into this wild trend. If you’re on the hunt for a pair of these luxe Nike Field General 82 “Zebra” kicks, they’ll be available exclusively in women’s sizes on September 19th. Pairs will be available for $210 USD on Nike SNKRS US and at select retailers.
