Since its 1997 release, Nike’s Foamposite One silhouette has been a canvas for various vibrant and distinctive graphics splashed across its hard shell upper. From the iconic green flame graphics of the glow-in-the-dark ParaNorman design to the swirling print of the ‘Big Bang ‘colourway, the Foamposite One has shown itself to be the ideal medium for bold and creative designs. Now, imagine this iconic silhouette taken over by a sleek and sinister colourway inspired by none other than Spiderman’s most infamous villain. Well, custom sneaker artist Javornie Brathwaite has brought that vision to life with his Nike Foamposite One “Venom” design.
A Closer Look At The Design
As one would expect from any Venom-inspired sneaker, the design has a black base with white touches on the mini toe Swooshes and the sole unit below. But instead of the standard white spider logo often used, this sneaker incorporates delicate white web patterns across the hard shell, as well as light blue highlights to mimic the way light hits Venom’s suit in comic books. Other noteworthy aspects include red patterning on the tongue and heel tabs, accurately reflecting the creature’s long, slimy tongue. It’s definitely one of the more unique sneaker interpretations of the beloved Marvel character.
