In 2024, we celebrated 40 years since Venom first stormed onto the scene in Marvel comics in 1984. To honour this remarkable anniversary, we’ve envisioned an Air Jordan 11 sneaker that captures the essence of Venom’s shadowy and mysterious presence.

Reminiscing About the Marvel Character

While the symbiote debuted in Amazing Spider-Man #252 as a mysterious black alien costume, it wasn’t until Amazing Spider-Man #299 in 1987 that it bonded with Eddie Brock, giving birth to the character we know today. Since that moment, Venom has become a beloved anti-hero, bringing mayhem and excitement to the Marvel universe.

With his menacing appearance and distinctive black suit, Venom leaves a lasting impression. That’s precisely why we crafted this black-and-white AJ11 sneaker concept, embodying its iconic essence.

A Closer Look at the Sneaker

The Venom Air Jordan 11 is a distinctive creation, boasting a predominantly black colour scheme. It features a velvet and patent leather mudguard in this dark hue, with accents of white on the upper and lace tabs that capture Venom’s signature white spider symbol, eyes, and teeth. The shoe showcases eerie eyes on the tongue and black tendrils creeping from the heel, further enhancing the theme.

The look is finished with a dark grey midsole and translucent outsole, adding a sleek and contemporary touch. These kicks flawlessly embody Venom’s dark, edgy vibe without coming off as overly flashy.

Is the Venom Air Jordan 11 Available for Purchase?

Unfortunately, this suave, all-black tribute to our favourite Marvel villain exists only as a concept. HOWEVER, the design draws inspiration from the Jordan 11 Retro ‘Cap and Gown,’ so if you manage to find a pair at a reasonable price, you can easily create your own ‘Venomised’ AJ11 design.

In the meantime, why not explore other fantastic Venom-inspired kicks like the Venom Dunks by Andrew Chiou or the stunning Spider-Verse Air Jordan 1, taken over by the symbiote himself?
