Following up on a successful partnership launched earlier in February 2025, Reebok has once again joined forces with visionary artists and rapper, Tobe Nwigwe. Continuing from the first Reebok x Chukwu range, which featured a heavy dose of soft suede, the second collaboration has dropped, featuring a similar blueprint.

The first drop, dubbed the “Preseason OTU” collection, continues with the next evolution of the Reebok x Chukwu collaboration. The sophomore aesthetic has been a staple in sneaker culture over the years and continues to progress with new drops with a sleek and comfortable narrative.

As was the case for the initial drop, the second features a blend of Nwigwe’s personal storytelling and creativity, along with Reebok’s design heritage from its archive. This time around, the focus of the collection has moved from a celebration of legacy and roots, to that of the importance of family. Honouring both the generations that came before and those who share the journey today, the collection includes sizing for the entire family. This includes adults as well as children, which emphasises connection across generations and the passing down of meaning and intention.

Reebok x Chukwu ABUO

For the collection, the latest drop introduces Chukwu ABUO footwear silhouette, a reimagined BB 4000 II, for both adults and children, alongside a refined adult apparel capsule. The aesthetic features similar plush design elements to the JJJJound x Reebok Club C “Tan Suede” and the Reebok St. Patrick’s Day Collection, characterised by a soft, premium suede finish.

With its mixed-material upper, which consists of hairy suede, nubuck leather and a textile finish, the Reebok BB 4000 II, titled the Reebok x Chukwu ABUO, receives a bold makeover with a premium aesthetic. Abuo, which means “two” in the Nigerian Igbo language, represents the next evolution of Tobe Nwigwe’s creative journey. In addition to the premium upper, is features various accents, a lace toggle closure, custom-moulded heel log, a gum outsole and a co-branded sock liner to round of the detailing.

The sneaker is available in two colourways, including the signature Mint colourway, as well as the added Chalk colourway. Sizing is available for men and women, as well as Junior, Toddler and Infant sizes.

Speaking on the release of the Chukwu ABUO, Tobe Nwigwe had this to say about the drop:

“Chukwu ABUO is more than just the next drop, it’s a reflection of growth, deeply rooted in my family and heritage, connecting where I’ve been with where I’m going. This collection represents clarity, how my past and future align in the now. It’s a refined continuation of what I started: classic, elevated, tailored, and still undeniably me. The Mint throughout isn’t just a colour, it symbolizes new beginnings and things falling into place as they’re ‘Mint’ to be. OTU was the beginning, and together with ABUO, they’re two chapters in a bigger story about duality, balance, and staying grounded in where you’re from while stepping into what’s ahead.”

Reebok x Chukwu Apparel

  • Chukwu Full-Zip Hoodie: An oversized fit in heavyweight French terry with a saddle-stitched hood, a two-way metal zipper, and embroidered CHUKWU and Reebok logos
  • Chukwu Graphic Tee: 350gsm single jersey with a bungee cord stopper, which features a drop-shoulder fit and satin-stitched embroidery
