Custom sneaker artists have been developing more creative ways to personalise classic silhouettes, experimenting with unusual materials and methods to create the perfect pair. Even though tattoo sneaker designs aren’t particularly new, @pointures.art’s custom Nike “Tattoo” sneaker series goes about it in a fresh and innovative way.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

For their take on the trend, @pointures.art collaborated with tattoo artist @wanlebongamin to produce what they term the “one-cut” collection. These sneakers are made by wet moulding and shaping a single piece of leather to produce a seamless upper, which is then embellished with hand-drawn tattoo designs that resemble the shape of the model’s usual overlays and Swooshes. These details are made even more special by their intricate detailing, which draws inspiration from Japanese art and features a complex combination of patterns and symbols that give the design depth and charm.

The team used this unique approach on Nike’s classic Air Force 1 Low and Air Max 1 silhouettes to produce a collection that feels clean and polished while still providing a hint of rebellious edge.

Where To Get The Nike “Tattoo” Sneakers

If you want your own pair of tattooed AF1s or AM1s, contact @pointures.art via Instagram or their website. You can also choose to select a different silhouette and have it modified for a truly unique look.
