In 2022, Jordan Brand designer Kelsey “Shme” Amy crafted a truly exclusive Air Jordan 1 Low design, reserved only for Rui Hachimura’s inner circle. The intricate crane embroidery, set against a deep black canvas, was a fitting homage to Hachimura’s Japanese heritage. This rare pair, unfortunately, eluded the grasp of most sneakerheads. However, in 2025, a wider audience can look forward to a new iteration of this design, the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Cranes” in an inviting oatmeal hue.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
This public release retains the same stunning cherry blossom and crane bird embroidery that adorned its predecessor. However, the base now boasts a charming oatmeal hue, complemented by matching suede on the toes and tongue.
The black suede Swoosh is then outlined in metallic gold, and the heel tab is made of matching black suede.
The pair concludes with a sail-coloured midsole that contrasts well with the gum rubber outsole. As much as we adore the black pair, we may have to admit that the oatmeal colourway is our new favourite.
