Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world, with a substantial following and passionate fans. Among the many major events that will surely attract interest from these loyal supporters this year is the FIFA Club World Cup, an event where 32 top clubs from around the world will compete for the title. In honour of the event hosted in the United States, Savoir-Faire Paris and Paris Saint-Germain have teamed up on a revised edition of the soccer club’s premium Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Wings” collab that came out earlier this year.

A Closer Look At The Paris Saint-Germain x Air Jordan 1 “USA”

The base design of this PSG x AJ 1 “Wings” sneaker is quite similar to the original pair. It features the same buttery leather uppers in clean white, with tan exposed edges on the overlays. However, where things get interesting is in the finer details.

Savoir-Faire Paris was inspired by Virgil Abloh’s classic AJ1 designs, adding “Paris” and “LA” writing on the sole in the characteristic Off-White font, as well as deconstructed Swooshes (which, may we add, are actually removable and interchangeable!).

The vibrant colours used on the Swooshes pay homage to the club’s signature shades while also fitting into the shoe’s overall play on the red, white and blue of the American and French flags. There’s also an extra hand-sewn leather patch on the quarter panels, where the Swooshes attach that adds extra visual interest. Just a few adjustments and these kicks look like a completely different collaboration.
