ORIGINAL ARTICLE: “Guess Who’s Back, back again”. Shady might be dropping new tunes, but it’s been a hot minute since the artist and sneakerhead graced us with a fresh collab with Nike or Jordan Brand. While we cross our fingers for his return to the sneaker scene, sneaker customiser Ng Poh Hian, also known as Bob of @nobrainer.psd, has thrown it back to one of Eminem’s most iconic music video moments with the Slim Shady x Nike SB Dunk Low “Guess Who’s Back” concept.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The sneaker design is a direct homage to Eminem’s superhero alter ego in the “Without Me” music video. It boasts a vibrant green, red, black, and yellow colourway that transports us right back to the early 2000s hip-hop scene.
The base of these kicks showcases a deep green leather, contrasted by subdued red overlays and weathered black laces and collar, reminiscent of his parody of Robin’s superhero costume. The bold yellow Swoosh logos then mirror the branding on Eminem’s superhero attire.
Branding-wise, you’ll find Eminem’s “E” logo on the heel and “Slim Shady” written on the toe cap. Additional nods to his superhero persona include comic book-style graphics on the ankle flap and mudguard, plus “ready for action” written on the quarter panels.
Wrapping it all up is a sail midsole and black rubber outsole, with “Guess Who’s Back” etched near the heel. If these kicks don’t bring back memories of peak Eminem antics, what will?
