The future is now, and Nike is here for it. Nike has been working on their virtual sneaker initiative for a while now, spearheading the transition from the real world to the virtual world for a while now, thanks to their web3-power platform.SWOOSH. Deciding to bring things back to reality for a second, the real-world sneaker company has collaborated with the virtual to make their latest sneakers, the seamless and gorgeous Nike Air Force 1 Low “404 Error” sneakers.
What To Expect From The Nike Air Force 1 Low “404 Error” Sneakers
Bringing their digitally advanced online world back to reality for a second, Nike and SWOOSH have made a gorgeous pair of Racer Blue and White sneakers, a minimalist vision in patent leather. The sneakers are based on the Nike Air Force 1 Low. Still, the only things these sneakers have in common with the original are the outsole and the relative shape because almost nothing else survived the transition.

The upper is entirely made of one piece of patent leather, with no overlays, not even the iconic Swoosh. However, this is entirely a purposeful choice because the only thing present on the wash or Racer Blue is the name of the sneakers, with the following message, “The requested upper was not found. Try again.” Very clever.
The insole has been designed with lines of code running along it to drive home these sneakers’ digital approach. At the same time, other elements have also been altered to show the “error” theme. The tongue label is essentially “inside-out”, with the Nike “404” branding on the sneakers’ inside. At the same time, the usual disclaimer is displayed on the outside. The packaging is also designed to look like an Air Force 1 box turned inside out by a coding error.
Every bit of the design works together to give the illusion that these sneakers lost some of their code during their transition from the digital world to the real one, and we are here for it.
