Many cherished OG colourways of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe have returned as part of Jordan Brand’s 40th anniversary celebrations and, consequently, the 40th milestone commemoration of the Jordan 1 model. This year’s festivities are also anticipated to present the return of the “Storm Blue” Air Jordan 1 but in a new low-top form.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
This low-top “Storm Blue” design is anticipated to take cues from the original AJ1 High colourway that debuted in 1985 and was re-released again in 2016.
If so, expect a crisp white leather base with “Storm Blue” overlays and profile Swooshes. However, what should be of greater interest is the return of the ‘Big Swoosh’ design , a larger-than-usual Swoosh that was popular throughout releases from the mid-2000s.
Finally, instead of the original white midsole, the pair is finished with a sail midsole paired with a blue rubber outsole for an aged look. However, as images of the pair have not yet surfaced, the actual colourway could still end up, well, surprising us.

The anticipated release date of the “Storm Blue” AJ1 Low is September 20, 2025. The shoes can be purchased for $140 USD on Nike.com and at select retailers.
