We’ve barely stepped into 2024, yet the chart of Jordan Brand releases is already brimming with eagerly awaited launches. There’s the comeback of beloved silhouettes and extraordinary partnerships with influential artists all on the way. However, of all the collaborations, one bound to cause a stir is the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Pale Vanilla”, and maybe not for all the reasons you would think.

While we thought we had seen the last of the Travis Scott AJ 1 team-ups last year, it seems Travis Scott and Jordan have pulled a real Fast and Furious stunt, with plans to unveil three new iterations of Scott’s renowned (or is it notorious now?) Air Jordan 1 Low designs in 2024. With Scott’s own signature Jumpman Jack shoe also poised for a release later this year, it’s safe to say that we have a lot of Scott-oriented excitement to look forward to from the Jumpan team.

Given the phenomenal success of his previous releases, which virtually flew off the shelves, it is no surprise that Jordan Brand continues to tap into the young rapper’s creativity and influence for their upcoming releases. And the new “Pale Vanilla” colourway will likely join the ranks of their other highly coveted collabs.

Although no official images have been released, a sneak peek from @zsneakerheadz gives an idea about what to expect from the show with its “Pale Vanilla,” “Black,” “Cream,” and “Muslin” colour scheme.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low "Pale Vanilla"

Of course, the new Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low is expected to feature the same distinctive colour-blocking scheme synonymous with earlier collaborations. This starts with the sneaker’s base, namely the toe box, tongue, and quarter panels, which showcase a “Pale Vanilla” shade.

A darker, earthy shade adorns the overlays, offering a distinct contrast to the lighter base. The signature reverse Nike Swoosh in a distinct “Black” then forms a stand-out feature on the sides of the shoe, contributing a bold element to an otherwise understated colour scheme. This dark shade extends to the tongue label and trims, enhancing the sneaker’s cohesive feel.

Further branding elements like the Cactus Jack imprint on the tongue and heel will also contribute to the collaboration’s characteristic style. While the available design doesn’t clearly depict these elements, their presence can be confidently predicted based on previous Nike and Travis Scott collaborations. Finally, the design combines a “Muslin” midsole and a “Black” rubber outsole for a sleek and classic finish.

I do feel it’s worth noting that the shoe resembles the 2022-released “Dark Driftwood” Nike Dunk Low, so we have seen this sort of look before. Of course, this comparison does depend on whether the new colourway maintains the mockups’ colour placement. But looking back at past previews, such as the upcoming “Canary Yellow” and “Black/Olive” Travis Scott shoes, it’s highly unlikely. Sneaker enthusiasts can expect to see some alterations in the final design. However, whether we will favour this official design more or less remains to be seen.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low "Pale Vanilla"

Regardless of the actual look, the chances are high that the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Pale Vanilla” will be another precious gem in Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2024 lineup, amongst a myriad of other much-anticipated releases (including all the “Black Cat” colourways) that fans are thirsting after. So, brace yourselves and start prioritising the fantastic array of launches you wish to bag this year-end.

The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Pale Vanilla” will be available during the holiday season (roughly October to December) and retail at $150 USD in men’s sizes. We are, however, still waiting for Nike and Jordan Brand to confirm the launch details. So, keep a close watch for official announcements and pictures in the coming weeks. In the meantime, feel free to follow us for more sneaker drops as exciting as this one and new sneaker reviews.
