We’ve seen our fair share of interpretations of what a Gucci and Air Jordan 1 collaboration could deliver, but none as striking and distinctive as this eclectic custom design by sneaker artist Raul Escobar of @born2wincustom.
A Closer Look at the Sneaker
For his vision of this highly-anticipated partnership, Escobar draws inspiration from Gucci’s luxurious red, black, and white Kingsnake motif and its signature colour palette. The sneaker’s base features the luxury label’s printed ‘GG’ Supreme fabric in a rich dark grey, adorned with the famed serpent graphic throughout. The overlays continue this theme with emerald green snakeskin, adding texture to the overlays and side Swooshes.
To cap off the Gucci aesthetic, the brand’s emblematic bee is embroidered on the lace tags, complemented by a gold and pearl pendant showcasing the same noble creature hanging from the tongue.
All this eclectic beauty rests atop a white midsole and green rubber outsole, finished with red stitching that ties the design together in a cohesive and stylish manner.
Can You Buy the Gucci x Air Jordan 1 “Serpent”?
While Escobar’s interpretation leans more into Gucci’s aesthetics than Jordan Brand’s, there’s no denying the pair’s eclectic charm. With the Jumpman Label celebrating its 40th anniversary soon, we’re hopeful for more surprise collaborations with luxury labels like Gucci. However, for now, you can have Raul create a one-of-a-kind custom pair just for you. Simply reach out to him on Instagram and share your vision for the perfect pair of sneakers.
Until then, there is much to look forward to in Jordan Brand’s 2025 collection, including collaborations with Swarovski, Off-White, Union, and Undefeated. There’s also an undisclosed Special Project in the works, but the colour scheme doesn’t suggest a Gucci tie-up. While we eagerly wait for more details on the brand’s 40th Anniversary lineup, make sure to follow us here at Sneaker Fortress for the latest sneaker releases and reviews.
