Cyberpunk 2077 x Air Jordan 1 Is the Nike Collab We Deserve

The Cyberpunk 2077 x Air Jordan 1 feels like the kind of Nike shoe collab that should’ve happened yesterday.

Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most highly anticipated games before its release. The hype died down only slightly after its debut before it spiked again ahead of the release of the Netflix Anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. If you have been one of those fans lamenting that you can’t get your hands on a pair of Cyberpunk 2077-inspired sneakers, we have just the thing for you. Introducing the Cyberpunk 2077 x Nike Air Jordan 1 sneakers.

Sneakers are the perfect way to bring the concept of Cyberpunk 2077 to life. With the Nike Air Jordan 1’s ability to look both retro and futuristic (sometimes even simultaneously), they are the perfect candidate and canvas for bringing a concept like this game, which is also a genre and style of its own, to life. Brandon Krige here at Fortress of Solitude knows what he is doing.

Starting from the bottom and working our way up, we see a pitch-black outsole contrasting with a stark white midsole. This creates a perfect balance before the sneakers enter more colourful territory.

One of the most prominent colours that signify most Cyberpunk 2077 merch is a bright, industrial yellow that fits the Cyberpunk theme. Here we see this industrial yellow making up the majority of the sneakers, starting on the mudguard and the front lace stays, making their way up the lace unit before finishing out the back of the sneakers on the heel counter, the panelling that makes up the upper lace stays, and even wrapping around the collar.

The toe box is the same pitch black as the outsole, a perfect representation of the blackest parts of the underbelly city that is Night City. At the same time, the colour continues up the tongue.

NIGHT CITY REPORT is emblazoned on the front lace stays in an electric, almost neon blue, perfectly matching the electric blue of the laces, the Nike Swoosh, the Air Jordans wings logo and the inner lining that can be seen peaking out from the collar and surrounding the tongue. This neon blue perfectly matches the neon lights of Night City and the inside of V’s collar.

Speaking of V, both male and female iterations of the main character of the story can be seen peaking over the collar, flanked by everyone’s favourite entity to share a brain with (sorry, spoilers), Johnny Silverhand.

Last but certainly not least, the stunning neon skyline of Night City can be seen lighting up the mid-foot panel of the sneaker, not only giving us a glimpse of the cyberpunk city that every edge runner wants to be a part of but also giving us a glimpse of the world that we love to immerse ourselves in when we play the game.

These are the perfect sneakers if you are a fan of Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, or if you just love the industrial style of the Cyberpunk genre on a larger scale. Alternatively, if you were heading to a convention dressed as V or anyone from the game or anime and wanted to bring your look home, what better way than with Cyberpunk 2077 x Nike Air Jordan 1 sneakers?
