With 2025 marking the Air Jordan 1 model’s significant 4-0 milestone, you can guarantee there have been plenty of highly anticipated offerings to commemorate the occasion, with many more still to come. From iconic colourways transformed with new materials to the comeback of fan-favourite collaborations, this year has undoubtedly been one for the books. So, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to compile a list of the best Air Jordan 1 High releases in 2025, some of which have already dropped (and you may have even copped) and others that will be available soon. Check them out below.
Air Jordan 1 ’85 “Bred”

I’ve said it before and will say it again: a list of the best Jordan 1 High sneakers is incomplete without the colourway that started it all, and the same goes for this year’s Jordan 1 releases. This February, Jordan Brand released a near-perfect recreation of the 1985 red and black colourway. It was the first major AJ1 High release of the year and certainly one of the most eagerly anticipated by AJ1 fans. Find out more about the Air Jordan 1 ’85 “Bred”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Toe Reimagined”

Say what you will about the missing wings logo on the ankle and the blacked-out tongues, but the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Toe Reimagined” is a pleasant glimpse into what could have been. The white, black, and red colourway is always a winner, but Jordan Brand made sure to include a few surprises—like the “Air Jordan” text on the ankle flaps as a nod to the first sample pairs and a secret message inside the collar—to keep these feeling fresh. Air Jordan 1 High OG “Cinnabar” (Rare Air)

While the Jordan 1 High was available in two “Rare Air” colourways this April, the women’s exclusive “Cinnabar” design was unquestionably the more texturally and visually appealing of the two. The sneakers have a creamy leather base, a shaggy suede collar and Swoosh, a swirl of cinnabar and cream on the chenille laces, plus ‘Nike Air’ branding on the medial ankle flap. The colour combo may be more modest, but it’s all about the gorgeous details when it comes to this design. Find out more about the Air Jordan 1 High OG (Rare Air) “Cinnabar”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC Reimagined”

The iconic “UNC” AJ1 is another original colourway that Jordan Brand has reinvented for the model’s 40th anniversary. The styling is comparable to the brand’s 2022 “Lost And Found” AJ1 release, with cracked white leather uppers and aged sole units that resemble what a 1985 pair would look like today. While the sail hue on the outsole has proven divisive among Jordanheads, the classic white and blue colourway and that cracked leather detailing are top-notch in our books. Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago/Shadow”

The mash-up style of Union LA’s 2018 Air Jordan 1 High collaboration was so popular that Jordan Brand had to bring them back for a new colourway to commemorate the model’s 40th birthday. This time, they merged two of the best Jordan 1 colourways ever to exist—the “Chicago” and “Shadow” designs—to create yet another sought-after release for 2025. Find out more about the Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago/Shadow”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Self-Expression”

If you appreciated the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 “Lance Mountain” from 2014, chances are you’ll enjoy the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Self-Expression.” Of course, there are noticeable differences in the designs of these two shoes; the “Self Expression” colourway is said to have three separate layers of paint as well as a varied colour placement on the middle layer and a black rubber outsole underneath. Still, the concept is somewhat similar, and we can’t wait to see how these wear away with time. Find out more about the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Self-Expression”.
Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard”

The iconic “Shattered Backboard” colourway is returning in 2025—and to much fanfare at that. As many sneakerheads already know, the shoe’s stunning black, sail, and starfish colour combination was inspired by Michael Jordan’s jersey worn when he smashed the backboard during a 1986 exhibition game in Italy. Aside from the nostalgia these kicks hold, the shoe comes packaged in a box with a cracked glass design that certainly adds to its appeal. Find out more about the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Shattered Backboard”.
Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Reverse Shadow”

The Jumpman Label has plans to issue a reversed version of the original “Shadow” design this year. The design draws inspiration from the rare, never officially released to the public, inverted AJ 1 “Shadow” sample from 1985. So, expect a black leather base and supple grey overlays, all done in the OG ’85 specifications.
Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska”

The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High “Euro”, now dubbed the “Alaska” colourway, is unquestionably one of the best Jordan 1 collaborations set to be launched in 2025. Despite the name change, sneakerheads can expect a faithful reproduction of the 2017 design, with white uppers and all the signature Off-White embellishments fans know and love. Find out more about the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Sail/University Red”

The impending Air Jordan 1 High OG “Sail/University Red” may not be an original hue or even a collaboration, but its clean and classic look offers a lot of promise. The pair is reported to feature a sail leather base with vivid University Red overlays (hopefully in suede like the mockups), making for quite a stunning combo. However, without supporting images, it’s all still speculation.
