There have been plenty of anticipated Jordan 1 High releases in celebration of the model’s 40th milestone in 2025. From a release of the “Bred” colourway that started it all to a follow-up collaboration with Union LA, this year has been an unending celebration of the iconic sneaker silhouette. Thankfully, there’s still plenty more to expect from the Jordan 1 High before year’s end, and we’ve put together a list of upcoming releases to look out for. Check them out below.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Self-Expression”

The Jumpman Label will soon release a multi-layered Air Jordan 1 High design that allows sneakerheads to express themselves with a bit of customisation. The shoes start with a black top layer, which fades to a multicoloured middle layer and, finally, a plain white base below. But in between, you can enjoy the various styles that emerge as the paint on the uppers fade away. Find out more about the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Self Expression”.
Air Jordan 1 High “Shattered Backboard”

The “Shattered Backboard” Jordan 1 Highs are undoubtedly among the most anticipated releases of 2025. As many Jordan fans would know, the colourway is inspired by the jersey Michael Jordan wore during an exhibition game in Italy, where he famously smashed a backboard with one of his powerful dunks. The black, sail and starfish colourway isn’t always easy to style, but it sure does get you noticed. Find out more about the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Shattered Backboard”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Light Madder Root”

Despite being anticipated for release this September, actual images of the “Light Madder Root” AJ1 have yet to surface. However, sneakerheads can look forward to a colour combination of Sail, Light Madder Root, and Baroque Brown that will retail for $180 USD exclusively for the ladies.
Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Reverse Shadow”

A reversed version of the original “Shadow” design is reportedly on the horizon from Jordan Brand. It is believed that the colourway will resemble either the extremely rare inverted AJ 1 “Shadow” sample from 1985—a design that was never actually released to the public—or 2021’s “Shadow 2.0”. However, we will have to wait for images to finally appear before we can verify these speculations.
Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska”

The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High “Alaska”, perhaps better known to Jordan fans as the “Euro” colourway, is yet another legendary Jordan 1 still expected to be released in 2025. Although the name has changed, sneakerheads can still look forward to a faithful reissue of the 2017 design, with white uppers and customary Off-White accents. Find out more about the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Sail/University Red”

While not one of the original colourways or even a collaboration, the Jordan 1 High’s Sail, University Red, Pale Ivory, Coconut Milk, Phantom, and Coconut Milk combination looks set to be a must-have for the holiday season. The sneakers are believed to sport a sail leather base with bold University Red overlays. However, without any actual images to corroborate, the design could still end up being something completely different.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Fir”

The Air Jordan 1 will be released in a Pale Ivory, Pro Green, Fir, and Coconut Milk colourway for the holiday season. The sneaker will have a gilded Wings logo at the ankle and is believed to be a special release for women in commemoration of the model’s 40th birthday. Find out more about the Air Jordan 1 “Fir”.
Air Jordan 1 High OG Patent “Black/White”

Jordan Brand is tinkering with yet another original colourway, this time working its magic on the timeless “Black/White” Jordan 1. The sneaker is projected to keep its original colour blocking but be updated with high-gloss patent leather akin to the “Bred” design from December 2021. Release dates and pricing have not yet been disclosed, so stay tuned for further details on this special pair.
Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Vast Grey”

Swarovski and the Jumpman Label have already released their crystal-covered Jordan 1 low collab in 2025; next up will be a high-top iteration in a Vast Grey/Photon Dust palette. While reports claim that its release date could be moved to September 2026, fingers crossed that we will still see this women’s exclusive sneaker arrive in December as originally planned.
