In 2025, Yu-Gi-Oh! will mark its 25th anniversary with an official—yes, official!—sneaker collaboration with Nike. Drawing inspiration from the very pages of the Japanese franchise’s renowned manga series, the two major brands have conjured up a Yu-Gi-Oh! x Nike Air Max “Muscle” 95 pack.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
Although no pictures of these colourways have been released as of yet, it is expected that the design will resemble the Air Muscle, a shoe that Katsuya Jonouchi, perhaps better known as Joey Wheeler, wears in Volume 2 of the manga series. The Air Muscle was cleverly created as a nod to the Air Max 95—but without violating Nike’s copyright, of course.
Sneakerheads can expect two colourways from the upcoming collab: a white-based design with wolf grey, dark smoke grey, and cool grey detailing, and a psychic blue pair with mystic navy, stone blue, and volt highlights. The designs should come with gradient colour blocking akin to the shoe in the manga, along with co-branding elements and premium materials appropriate for any Nike collab. And we can only hope the shoes will be boxed with special trading cards or collectables to further tie in with the Yu-Gi-Oh! theme.
Yu-Gi-Oh! x Nike Air Max “Muscle” 95 Release Details
Each pair in the Yu-Gi-Oh pack will be up for grabs in Fall 2025. Nike.com and select stores will sell the sneakers for $200 USD each.
