A$AP Rocky’s craziest collab with PUMA to date has finally made its way online and into stores, accompanied by an intriguing Scooby-Doo-style ad helmed by the rapper and designer.
After three suspects dressed up like Rocky are brought in for interrogation, the investigator sneaks in a reference to the rapper’s upcoming fourth studio album, “Don’t Be Dumb”—hopefully a teaser of what’s coming this year as fans are clamouring for the album to finally release.
As the story unfolds, the robberies are revealed to be the work of a copycat syndicate trying to replicate the popularity of the rapper’s freshly released sneaker designs. Thankfully, after a cartoon-style chase sequence, a surprise unmasking, and a twist on the iconic Scooby-Doo catchphrase, the true culprits behind the crimes are finally exposed.
As for the shoes themselves, they come in a diverse range of styles, each with its own unique features. The Inhale style, for instance, is a bulkier silhouette with contour lines, a reflective or mesh base, and its own distinctive take on the PUMA formstrip branding.

The Mostro styles, on the other hand, are slim and sleek, with the standard design including mesh straps, studded soles, and croc leather uppers for a more luxe yet pared-back look. At the same time, the Mostro Gabbia Light has a fiercer aesthetic, given the patterned TPU panelling and detachable TPU cage. The latter design also proudly boasts PUMA’s Disc Tech, which provides a secure fit without the need for laces.
However, all the sneaky “Don’t Be Dumb” teasers littered throughout the commercial have definitely diverted attention away from the actual sneaker releases. Fans have instead been pleading for the rapper to drop his next album, with one fan simply saying, “Drop the album ASAP!!!!” while another joked, “Bro is not serious with life. “He is dropping commercials without dropping the album.” It’s clear from the countless comments on YouTube that fans want one thing from Rocky and one thing only: new music.
Even with this minor snag, PUMA has been on the up and up when it comes to must-have sneaker styles. In fact, the footwear brand boasts a number of this year’s influencer-approved silhouettes in its lineup, one, of course, being the PUMA Speedcat (particularly in its striking red colourway).

The motorsport-inspired sneaker seems to be aiming to dethrone the Sambas as the preferred casual sneaker for style-conscious folks. And with celebrities like Rihanna, Dua Lipa, and Rosé regularly seen wearing the Speedcat, this dethronement will probably occur sooner rather than later.
That said, if you’re looking for A$AP Rocky’s unique silhouettes, the shoes are currently available on PUMA.com for $120-$140 USD for the Inhale styles, $130 USD for the Mostro OG, and $250 USD for the Mostro Gabbia Light.
