Say hello to the Adidas Kader — a skate shoe that’s been in the pipeline for a while now. The first looks are in, and we’re definitely impressed with the technical specs, the 90s appeal, and unique details.
Both skaters and sneakerheads are hyped. Let’s take a look at some of the comments on @cop_o_clock’s recent Instagram post spotlighting the shoes:
@pauloanthoni: “I dig the retro vibes. Look fun to skate too”
@gothgospel: “These r fire”
@thehomiecrib: “these hard man”
@angeltheswan: “fyee, I need a pair !”
Who is Kader Sylla?
Kader Sylla turned pro at 16 for Baker Skateboards, backed by Andrew Reynolds, before going on to co-found Violet Skateboards alongside filmer Bill Strobeck. While he hasn’t won any major traditional skate contests, he’s a well-respected street skater who’s had plenty of iconic video parts.
On the footwear side of things, Kader bounced from Vans to a brief stint with Nike SB before landing at adidas Skateboarding in 2021, where he’s since dropped a string of acclaimed ADV colorways across the Superstar, Samba, and Superskate lines.
What he hadn’t had, until now, was a true signature shoe built around him.

A Shoe Built to Feel Like Him

In a recent interview with Nice Kicks, Sylla said, “It’s just surreal. It’s trippy,” Sylla said. “Especially a signature shoe. That’s kind of what every skater dreams for.”
The adidas Kader is a mid-top built specifically with Kader’s own style in mind, combining suede and leather across a reinforced toebox, lower side panels, and heel, with extra stitching and thick lace loops along the Three Stripes.
Sylla played basketball growing up, so the shoe definitely has some hoops DNA backed into the design.
