The “Mocha” colourway has undoubtedly been a fan favourite within the Jordan Brand, particularly the Air Jordan 1 series. From the hype surrounding Travis Scott’s now iconic rendition in 2019 to the rapid sell-out of the “Dark Mocha” release in 2020, this hue has proven a consistent winner. So, why alter a successful formula? This Autumn 2024, Jordan Brand aims to gratify sneakerheads by reintroducing this beloved colour scheme in a stylish low-top version with the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Mocha.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

The latest iteration is essentially a low-top version of the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Dark Mocha”, released in 2020 but with a few nuanced updates.

This low-top “Mocha” design retains the familiar “White” leather base paired with “Black” accents on the toe, eyestay, and Swoosh overlays, similar to its high-top counterpart. However, the heel and ankle flap sport a slightly richer “Palomino” hue instead of the “Dark Mocha” shade.

Branding-wise, the Wings logo on the heels sports a dark “Black” finish, while “Palomino” Nike Air branding highlights the tongue. Completing the design is a “White” midsole paired with a “Black” rubber outsole, reminiscent of the high-top version. It all ties together with a set of sleek black laces for a classic finish.

If you’re a “Dark Mocha” colourway fan, this one should definitely be on your radar.

Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Mocha” Release Details

Those looking to grab a pair of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Mocha” expect these kicks to drop on August 21, 2024. This colourway of the AJ1 Low will be available at Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers for a retail price of $140 USD—a far cry from the hefty three-figure sums its high-top sibling currently demands.

However, the Jordan 1 lineup remains packed for the rest of the year. Expect releases such as the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Metallic Gold”, Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Coconut Milk/Black”, and the Air Jordan 1 High “Black Toe Reimagined” in the coming months. Until then, stay tuned with us at Sneaker Fortress for the latest sneaker drops and reviews.
