I love that, even in 2024, fans of the original Ninja Turtles comic books, cartoons, and movies can still satisfy their nostalgia through incredible collectables inspired by their favourite childhood heroes. And, of course, the Turtles’ 40th anniversary this year brought even more exciting releases for fans, such as the adidas TMNT Shell-Toe shoes. Still, there were also a number of custom designs to honour the iconic quartet’s legacy. Just check out these amazing “Ninja Turtles” Air Jordan 1 sneakers by Mad Alice (@madalice.au).

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

This sneaker showcases two of our favourite aspects of the heroes in a half shell: their love for pizza and their distinctive eye mask colours. Raphael just so happens to be the inspiration behind this specific pair. His eyes peer from the lateral Swooshes, and you can see the red of his bandana on the laces and medial check logos.

The light green of his skin serves as inspiration for the colour on the sneaker’s base, while the tumbled leather overlays are painted with vivid turtle shell patterns to enhance the shell effect. The sneaker’s design also features splatters of ooey, gooey cheese throughout, a detail you can’t really miss.

Finally, the design is completed with a “TMNT” tongue tag as the finishing touch on the upper and a white midsole and outsole combo beneath. It’s a truly eye-catching sneaker that I’m sure many TMNT fans will relish.

How To Get The “Ninja Turtles” Air Jordan 1

If you’re looking for a sneaker design inspired by your favourite Ninja Turtle, make sure to visit the Mad Alice website. You can choose to include all four of the Turtle Brothers’ bandana colours in your design, or you can use just one or two of them depending on whether you have a favourite or favourites. You even have the option to incorporate any extras into your design by leaving a note in the special requests section.

Each pair costs $350 USD in adult sizes, but these cool kicks are also available in children’s sizes. What’s even better is that they ship worldwide; however, international shipping may incur additional fees.

In the meantime, explore our website for more sneaker customs inspired by beloved childhood characters. Whether you grew up playing Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter or preferred classic cartoons like Looney Tunes or SpongeBob SquarePants, there’s a custom design waiting to be discovered. Just remember to stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress for more custom and concept kicks.
