Jordan Brand has added a number of Ferrari-inspired colourways to its Jordan 14 collection over the years, and it’s no surprise that sneakerheads have coveted each and every one. Part of the lineup is a “Black Ferrari” AJ 14 with perforated and quilted leather uppers, released in December 2019. While the design is definitely worthy of its Special Edition tag, Javornie Brathwaite offers another take on what a sleek “Black Ferrari” Air Jordan 14 could look like.
Brathwaite’s concept uses the same design elements as the “Red Ferrari” Jordan 14s. We’re talking faux carbon fibre midsole accents, yellow branding and badges, and dazzling silver chrome touches. However, the uppers are totally covered in glossy patent leather. To think this simple change in material can make such a big difference. Now the colourway perfectly replicates the gleaming look of a slick black Ferrari’s exterior. If this isn’t luxury and sophistication in sneaker form, we’re not sure what is.

Unfortunately for all of us who are swooning over these beauties, these sneakers are only a concept for now. But if you want to see them become a reality, make sure to show your love on Instagram or visit Brathwaite’s website to commission a custom pair.
