Over the years, Jordan Brand has added a number of Ferrari-inspired colourways to its Jordan 14 collection, and sneakerheads have been clamouring for each one. But this “Black Ferrari” colourway, as envisioned by sneaker artist Javornie Brathwaite, elevates the classic Air Jordan 14 silhouette to a whole other level of elegance and sophistication with its unique feature.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
Sure, Jordan Brand released a “Black Ferrari” AJ 14 with quilted and perforated uppers in December 2019, but Brathwaite’s take follows a different route, featuring a slick patent leather design.
The shoe incorporates the same design aspects as the “Red Ferrari” Jordan 14s, which are expected to make a welcome return this year. We’re talking faux carbon fibre midsole accents, yellow branding and badges, and dazzling silver chrome touches. However, as previously stated, the uppers are totally covered in glossy patent leather, which perfectly replicates the appearance of the gleaming exterior of a slick black Ferrari. If this isn’t luxury and sophistication in sneaker form, we’re not sure what is.
