The Air Jordan 14 in itself is a special gem in the Jordan Brand collection, with the company choosing only to release a handful of colourways each year. Yet even a silhouette that is already so rare can be made even more exclusive with the perfect combination of materials and colour schemes. This is especially true of the unicorn that is the Air Jordan 14 “Chambray.”
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
Even though this rare colourway has been spotted a few times over the years, sneaker collector Jimmy Shoetron @jimmy.shoetron has offered us an on-foot look of the Air Jordan 14 “Chambray” that truly shows off its beauty.
The shoes’ uppers feature ribbed and perforated side panels composed of Chambray suede. The inner liner, upper tongue mesh, lacing loops, heel, midsole, and outsole are then covered in shades of black. Finally, the branding and logos on the heel are finished with crisp white accents, while the rear portion of the midsole has subtle hints of green.
This Chambray sample from 2005 could be considered among the most gorgeous AJ14 colourways of all time, making it even more painful that these were never officially released.
Is The Air Jordan 14 “Chambray” Available For Purchase?
What you may find even more unfortunate is that these kicks are exceedingly rare and difficult to come by, making them almost impossible to find through your more traditional resale channels. And if you do come across a pair, expect to pay a hefty price for them, given their scarcity and popularity among sneaker collectors. But, hey, there’s always the possibility that Jordan Brand will release them to commemorate their 40th anniversary or even the model’s next milestone in three years’ time.
Until then, you can prepare for the Air Jordan 14 Red “Ferrari” to drop in 2025 and check out our list of the best Air Jordan 14 sneakers to keep you going. And remember to follow us at Sneaker Fortress for more sneaker drops and news.
