The Air Jordan 3 Gets a Fresh Look Inspired by Seoul

Jordan Brand intends to bring back the look of its coveted Korean-inspired colourway debuted in 2018 with a new "Seoul 2.0" Jordan 3.

Jordan Brand’s sneaker lineup for 2025 is still proving to be full of surprises. Remember the regionally exclusive Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” from 2018 that was later reissued as a women’s exclusive design in 2020? Well, Jordan Brand intends to revive the unique Korean-inspired colourway, but with special tweaks for its upcoming “Seoul 2.0” Jordan 3 release in 2025.

Remembering The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul”

For those who may not remember, the original design was based on the Taegeukgi, the national flag of South Korea. It was made to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the city hosting the Summer Olympics back in 1988. While it was originally released at $200 USD, it is now worth thousands (and I mean THOUSANDS) of dollars on the resale market. However, sneakerheads could be able to purchase a variation of this pair at a fraction of the price with the upcoming “Seoul 2.0” release—provided that the new sneaker isn’t also limited, that is.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

Generally speaking, the 2025 design is very similar to the 2018 Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” release. The Korean flag sewn on the right tongue, similar white tumbled leather uppers, and the same “Nike Air” branding on the heel.

The primary distinction comes in with the new design’s aged appearance. You’ll notice the yellowed midsoles and the distressed detailing on the elephant print overlays, playing into the designs aged theme.

However, it also looks like the eyelet colours have been switched up, the outsole is now completed in a light grey, and the blue collar detailing appears to be quilted now. And am I crazy, or does the inner lining look particularly plush and comfy in the updated design?

Apart from these minor modifications, the “Seoul 2.0” look still feels familiar, although it seems like Jordan Brand has made an effort to step things up as far as the materials.

Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” Release Details

If the new look appeals to you, get ready to grab the “Seoul 2.0” design on May 15, 2025. The sneaker will retail for $200 USD in men’s sizes on Nike SNKRS and at select Jordan Brand stores.

Of course, there are plenty more Jordan 3 releases to look forward to this year. Don’t miss out on the “Rare Air,” “Pure Money”, and “Vivid Purple” colourways dropping this year, as well as anticipated A Ma Manière and SoleFly collaborations. Until then, stay tuned to Sneaker Fortress for more sneaker drops and news.
