The Joker seems to be enjoying a moment in the Air Jordan lineup as the brand gets ready to offer several sneaker colourways adorned with the classic colours of the DC villain in 2025—all unofficial, of course. A “Black/Barely Volt” Air Jordan 11 was the first kids-exclusive release that we witnessed the Ace of Knaves take over, but Jordan Brand also has plans to roll out a “Vivid Purple” Air Jordan 3 design earlier in the year.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
In case it isn’t already clear, this AJ3’s combination of White, Vapour Green, Vivid Purple, Sail, and Guava Ice hues delivers a lively and distinctive look reminiscent of the Clown Prince of Crime’s signature colours.
You get a clean white leather base that mimics his famous face paint, with splashes of Vivid Purple on the heel tab, collar, lining, laces, and elephant print panels to symbolise his outfit. Striking “Vapour Green” touches on the Jumpman logo at the heel and bottom of the outsole, then pay homage to the character’s signature hair. Sure, there’s no official DC branding or graphics on the shoe, but if this is the closest we can get to a Joker-themed Air Jordan 3, we’ll definitely take it.
Air Jordan 3 “Vivid Purple” Release Details
The release date of this Joker-esque AJ3 is March 1, 2025. Sneakerheads will be able to purchase a pair in grade school sizes for $150 USD via Nike.com and select Jordan retailers.
