Deion Sanders knows how to create a special moment. Just recently, he dropped photos of unreleased Nike sneakers from his signature line, and tucked among them was a pair nobody has seen yet. It’s a Nike Air DT Max ’96 Low made just for his son, Shedeur Sanders. It’s purple, metallic hits and has “Legendary” stamped on the heel.
Shedeur is 23, already the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback by the end of his rookie NFL season, and clearly not interested in waiting his turn anywhere else either. Back in October, he hinted that his own Nike sneakers were coming and tossed out the line, “Who gonna wear Jordans again?”

This Air DT Max ’96 Low matters for a few reasons. First, it’s the first time Deion’s second signature Nike shoe has been reworked as a low-top. That’s a big shift. The original mid-cut version was loud, bold, and built for turf and flash. Dropping it lower makes it easier to wear off the field, which is exactly where sneaker culture lives now. Second, the “Legendary” colorway isn’t subtle. It leans into Shedeur’s mantra, the same one Nike keeps pushing across social media while backing him hard, even after his slide in the 2025 NFL Draft.
There’s no release date. No price. No confirmation this exact pair will ever hit shelves. It’s player-exclusive for now, which only makes people want it more. You’ve seen this playbook before. Tease first. Let the photos cook. Watch the demand build itself.

Shedeur’s been wearing Nike Air DT ’96 cleats in custom Browns colorways during practices and warmups, each pair marked with handwritten messages. It’s small stuff, but it tells you how personal this line already feels. When we spoke to Deion in April 2025 about where his Nike line was headed, he didn’t dance around it. “Shedeur, is gonna take on that leadership of the line, and it is gonna be legendary.”
Fans won’t see Shedeur Sanders back under center until next fall. His shoes might show up sooner. And if they do, don’t act surprised when purple suddenly becomes a problem to find in your size.
