Shai Gilgeous–Alexander has had a fantastic season. Aside from his team’s championship finals victory and his personal NBA MVP and Finals MVP trophies, the hooper is also releasing his own signature sneakers this fall. The Converse Shai 001 is a puffy low-top shoe with moulded uppers and a zip-up shroud that gives it a distinctly futuristic look. But, most importantly, the shoe has a radial underfoot grip and a Nike Zoom Air unit in the forefoot to ensure it performs as well as it looks. While much about the sneakers’ release details is still unknown, we’ve put together a list of all the known colourways the model is slated to debut in.

1. Converse Shai 001 “Butter”

The first of Shai’s Converse signature sneakers to be released is coated in butter yellow. Converse will launch the sneakers exclusively in Oklahoma City at a special event at the “MVP” mural, located at 626 W Main St. But the rest of us will have to wait until D-Day in fall to grab a pair. These will set you back $130.00 USD apiece.

2. Converse Shai 001 “Ares Grey”

Most of Shai’s upcoming colourways are dedicated to someone special in his life, and as the name suggests, this all-grey pair is a tribute to his son Ares. The baller has been spotted wearing this pair during game one of the NBA Playoffs against the Memphis Grizzlies, but it’s still unclear when the colourway is expected to release to the public.

3. Converse Shai 001 “Charm Black”

SGA’s signature model is also expected in a monochromatic black look inspired by his mother’s affinity for the “elegant” and “mysterious” colour. This is another colour scheme that the 26-year-old has worn in-game. It carried him through Game 1 of the 2025 Western Conference Semifinals against the Denver Nuggets.

4. Converse Shai 001 “Hail Clay”

The Converse Shai 001 will be available in a meaningful, monochromatic shade dedicated to the NBA star’s own MVP, his wife, Hailey Summers. The upper, zip-up shroud, and sole unit are all orange-brown in colour, inspired by Hailey’s eyes. Shai wore this look during Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

5. Converse Shai 001 “Masi Blue”

This incredibly chic “Masi Blue” colourway is named after Shai’s younger brother, Thomasi, and features an ice blue look said to reflect his cool and calm demeanour. Expect the light shade to fill the entire sneaker from top to bottom.

6. Converse Shai 001 “Trophy Gold”

Converse celebrated the NBA MVP and Finals MVP winner with a “Trophy Gold” pair of his iconic sneakers. While this metallic gold hue is unlikely to get a general release, it’s still pretty nice to look at.

7. Converse Shai 001 “Denim”

Although not one of the colourways debuted by the baller, reliable sneaker insiders at Sneaker Market Romania have reported a denim-covered design for the Shai 001 coming in spring 2026. Watch this space for more on the look.
