Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 4 “Brick By Brick” collaboration has finally dropped; and as it stands, this release is positioning itself for the title of “Sneaker of the Year.” Yet the BMX star has a few more tricks up his sleeve for this year, including an alternate “White” version of this AJ4 team-up and even an Air Jordan 1 Low dressed in Black, Muslin, and Varsity Red. But there is one design that is still somewhat of a mystery: the rumoured Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 “Blue” colourway.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
Sneaker collector @thejordanvault23 recently posted images of the aforementioned pair online, and we must admit that they have a really striking appearance.
Most of the design’s key components, such as the suede uppers, brick-textured mudguards, and “Bike Air” branding at the heel, are still present in this mystery iteration, but it all arrives in a striking royal blue and white palette that really pops.
Even if the recently introduced “Fire Orange” colourway more closely aligns with the collaboration’s overarching “Brick by Brick” theme, this blue version certainly leaves an impression. However, if there’s one thing that could raise doubts about the validity of this pair, it’s that the video displays a design with blue underlays beneath the netting, while the shared images showcase a design with white underlays. Of course, this could also simply be two distinct samples that Jordan and Nigel played around with.
Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 “Blue” Release Details
It’s still unclear if this “Blue” colourway will be saved for friends and family, remain a mere sample design, or be released later this year. But there’s no doubt that fans of Nigel Sylvester and his Air Jordan collaborations are crossing their fingers for the latter.
As we await any details about this eye-catching pair, sneakerheads can get ready for more AJ4 releases on the horizon. From the Nike SB X Air Jordan 4 “White/Navy” to A Ma Maniére’s X Air Jordan 4 “Dark Mocha”, there are plenty of exciting drops to anticipate this year.
